Another funny thing I have to add though - about a year or so ago when I was working on my junior year of my undergrad I'd have some classes that would be a real mindracking. Usually when I felt like my mind was too drained to do anymore studying I'd mixed down some Hennessey, a tequila, or a vodka with Code Red Mountain Dew and I found that I not only got a big boost of energy but could focus better on my homework with at least a little bit of a buzz on.

Alcohol is tasteless to me. I do not understand how people can like it's taste. I can drink but it is ugly processs to me. When I am drank I feel more assured, relaxed, my minds are less operative. But the taste is bad. Perhaps I have some malformation, I don't know

No, your right. It's definitely an acquired taste.

Depends on what you're trying to drink, I guess. If I hadn't enjoyed wine and mixed spirits from the first time I tried them, I can only say that I'd never have acquired the taste. Not that I can actually REMEMBER when that was...but I beer is something that I simply can't understand the appeal of, not to mention shots or straight spirits. Beer is what I imagine liquid wood tasting like.

But then again, the great thing about wine is that the strong taste kind of acts against putting
it away in huge quantities. The only way I can keep track of how many gin & tonics I have is by working out how much cash I've blown! 8O
