I'm 5'7, imagine how I feel! Actually I don't really have a problem with my height. Only shallow vacuous people would judge you over something so silly.

I feel for you Jamesy. I read a lot of your threads and I feel that we have developed a back and forth that might be more useful for you than the positive comments you get from new people each time you bring this back up. Perhaps that is not what you are looking for?

Comments withdrawn.

1.What happens sometimes is that you suddenly realise you haven't thought about it for a long time.
You aren't even aware of forgetting.

2. I don't really know. In life, there is always going to be *something* we are fretting about. Maybe you
shouldn't even BOTHER trying to get over it. Have some fun - plant some pumpkins, do some gaming,
or make a nice sandwich instead :)

3. Did you read the thread about having fun?

4. I know people always tell me to "relax", but I just can't. However I found I could "let go". Don't ask me
what the difference is.

I hope my 4 odd answers help in some way Jamesy.

I agree with MidlifeAspie maybe some CBT would be the best thing for you. I too have read some of your other threads and it does seem to really bother you.

I'm a 5'7" mom living with a 13 year old 6' 1" son, tall people can have their insecurities as well, my son can really feel out of place because of his height and lack of social skills, nowhere to hide really from his point of view, plus everyone always thinks he is much older than he actually is and because of his lack of maturity he can draw a lot of attention without even trying.

I hope you find someone to help you past this as think how much better your life will be if you can put your energies into something else and move positively forward.

AS mom the only reason why i dislike large groups or crowds is if a lot of people are taller than me making me feel like a child or inferior.

Listen I am not short i am medium height or maybe even just slightly over the average of 5ft9 in the UK. I suppouse height is one of those you just have to deal with and get over but its a lot for me to come to terms with it esspeciaelly when height is actually an important quality to have in life.

I don't think a lot of people have a problem with 5ft10 as a height in general.
