Hello Friends,
I used to have special items and preferences for everything, and yes, it would upset me greatly when I couldn't have or do them, so I gave up all preferences so that I wouldn't need to get upset.
Though saying that, I have little things I use or fiddle with daily. In the US they call it silly putty in a plastic egg...ahhh when I'm stressed, just clenching it, moulding it is comforting.
I also have a few boxes of small hobby tools I look through and have a vast collection of strong glues, super, quick drying, plastics glue both JB types. When I go shopping I will always bring home glue. I don't use them, oh once. I was in the garage gluing a table and realized my thumb was bonded to the wood of an extremely heavy table.
I couldn't move. If I pulled it would have torn all my thumb skin right off. Desperate calling, nothing. Luckily I had the mobile and after 2 unanswered calls to inside the house my 7 yr old came to the rescue with a hobby knife and let's just say I was free but walking around with a wood covered thumb for a week...lol

Your Friend,
Joall

Only in the general area?
My morning would get off to a very bad start if "my" seat wasn't available on the train when I was commuting. I also had an "outgoing" seat and an "incoming" seat.
On the underground it had to be a seat right up against the glass partition next to the doors.

If I can't use the same cup for tea/coffee then it just doesn't taste right.
I have a special pen too, and it gets replaced by an identical one as necessary - nothing else feels quite right.
Various windows on the computer screen are always arranged in the same way: mail top left, browser bottom right, with a shell window bottom left.

Lordy, there's no end to it...

Haha. Yeah, I'm not THAT rigid about it! It's a double-decker train so I always wanna sit up top, to the right and towards the back. So within a 4 row parameter. It doesn't have to be 1 specific seat for me.

Ooh, double-decker transport! That's fun and you'd find me upstairs, right at the front on the right-hand side.

On buses I prefer to sit right behind the rear door, and I prefer to sit alone. I have some small amount of flexibility in this (the back of the bus), but if I have to sit somewhere else I do not love it.

I have a plaid cap that I like to wear to work, each morning.

I love to do this, secret beta testing, tiny hoarding. I have found many the 'superior product' through my testing processes.

I love my ipod (s), my cell, my psp, my pspgo, my tools, separated by location: inside/outside-upstairs, downstairs, basement (the inside special ones in their own bag), and all my fab brushes I use to detail my car; car detail products. I got favorites in each of these things too, favorites in everything from bath towels to forks. Favorite cup, butter knife, sharp knife, place to sit, sheets, shoes, food [on my current menu for almost 6 months].

This stuff brings me more comfort than anything in the world. I take extra care with everything, keep it all looking brand new and all in its place.

:?

I really like my favourite pen. It's not special, just a silver plated Parker. Still I am fond of it.

I have a favourite chair at work. I find it and move it to my favourite computer. If I can't get it it doesn't set me up well for the day. I also have a mug and only use that mug. My iPhone is like my crutch and I keep it with me at all times. Checking email and checking rss feeds gets somewhat addictive. I find solace in checking it.

I know I am normal for me and that is all that matters to me.
