I don't like human-produced noises either. Coughing, sneezing, yawning, clearing the throat, and blowing the nose loudly.
How come when I blow my nose (I have to a lot because of my bad sinuses), I never make that loud noise what some people make?
I may be able to tolerate people coughing or sneezing at a genuine level, but when people intentionally make their sneeze come out really loudly, it makes me jump out of my skin, then everyone laughs at me (not in a nasty way, but I still get embarrassed).
One of the worst things is people yawning really loud. Ohh, that drives me insane! It's a noise what doesn't need to be made at all. It's also a noise what I can't ignore. I yawn a lot, but I never make that stupid noise when I do.
Worst thing of all is toddlers. I don't mind when they are quiet, but when they have their stupid temper tantrums, it is like torture to me. It's worse in public, because I get sensory overload with it but I've just got to sit still and grin and bare it, otherwise I might end up humiliating myself. When I was 14 and a toddler screamed near me in public, I used to stamp my feet, and grab hold of my hair and try to pull it out, and swear loudly. That wasn't good, really. Luckily the kid was usually screaming so loud that nobody really heard the swearing, but they saw my angry reactions, which admittedly was embarrassing, especially for the person who was with me (my mum, for example). I've learnt to be more tolerable now, but I still like to avoid small children, if I can help it. That is why I'm looking for a job where I'm working behind the scenes, like in the kitchen of a restaurant, or the warehouse of a shop. Then when I hear that awful sound of someone's kid screaming coming from the restaurant or shop, I can grin to myself. I actually
like hearing it when they're not in the same room as me.
