i can not answer almost any of these questions definitively . i never can decide on an exact answer when doing tests like this one. i often chose 3 (out of 5 (5 being exactly representative, and 1 being completely unrepresentative)) because i was ambivalent about my answers, and i am sure the test could be more resolute so as to make incontrovertible, the essence of the questions.
many of the test questions have more than one subject of interrogation, and so i may think "yes" (5) to the first proposition, and then read the second proposition and think "no" (1), so i settle for the average ((5+1)/2), so i choose "3". here are some problem questions for me.
1. I pride myself on having a large vocabulary.
i have a knowledge of adequate vocabulary (4/5) ,however i do not feel any pride pertaining to it (1/5). 4+1=5. 5/2=2.5 which must be rounded up or down. i like to round up, so i chose "3".
2. Using numbers and numerical symbols is easy for me.
yes, but not as easy as it would be for a someone smarter than me. so i have to choose "3"
3. Music is very important to me in daily life.
music is very important to me (5), but i never listen to music until the evening (1) when i have no distractions.
in my daily life, i have little time to devote to music(1), but in my nightly life, i am very often absorbed by music (5).
this averages out to "3" ((5+1)/2)
6. I feel like people of all ages like me.
this question was absurd. one would have to be psychotic to feel like people of different ages that are like ones self.
i am sure i am missing something...the question proposes that i feel the same way as people who are similar to me feel at various ages. how would i know? i do not know how people like me feel when they get older.
"3" to that question.
7. I often look for weaknesses in myself that I see in others.
no. the only weaknesses that i can see in others, are weaknesses that i do not perceive i have.
i easily see what i consider weaknesses in others, but i have a smug complacency about it that makes me think that the only reason i can see them is because i do not have them.
i can not resolve my answer to anything more than a "3" for that question.
there are some questions that are easy to answer like:
8. The world of plants and animals is important to me.
very much. easy to choose "5"
anyway, i will cut back to the problems.
13. I feel really good about being physically fit.
i do feel physically fit, but i do not feel a heightening of my internal happiness because of it, so..i guess "3"
14. I like to be with all different types of people.
well i can not even answer that one. i guess it is better to have people with different mindsets to talk to because they provide variety, but at the same time, if no one is like me in my "chat circle", then why bother uttering a word. really? communication is such a waste of energy if it fails to instill in someone else what i want to tell them. yeah i guess "3"
15. I often think about the influence I have on others.
i always know the influence that i have on people in real life, but i never think about it much.
so, is the question fishing for data about the query that i have influence over others, or was it asking whether i often think about it.
i'll just chuck a 3 at it i guess.
16. I enjoy my pets. i do not have "pets", but i am friends with wild animals and i enjoy to be with them them extremely much.
so the "pets" part of the question=1, and the "enjoy being loved by animals" part=5. (as i understand the thrust of one aspect of the question.)
whatever ..."3" is what i chose.
there is so much more to write but i must remember that i have to be logically responsible tomorrow, and it is 4:22 am in a morning where i have many lines of code to write later. i am quite tired and i do not any longer want to comment on all 56 questions in the test.
what an outrageous waste of time i spent writing this failure to thrive.
good absolute night.
