I've gotten called creepy numerous times, almost always behind my back. I get it the most when I am stressed, anxious, or overloaded. My social skills are nearly nonexistent when I am overloaded or under a lot of stress. Being labeled creepy only adds to my stress and as a result, makes it more difficult for me to socialize, which in turn increases the chance of me being labeled as a creep.

I've noticed a pattern: the people who actually bother to TALK to me can't imagine how I could be called "creepy." The people who DON'T never seem to want me around them.

Usually the latter are friends of my friends.

I get called creepy all the time. All. The. Time.

But, it's usually by my friends, so I don't really think about it that much.

yup, quite a bit. People at work tell me they get "bad vibes" off of me. They tell me my laugh is creepy, that my eyes creep them out, all sorts of fun stuff.

I even have had "friends" tell me at social gatherings that what I say is creepy. I don't know why that is. I don't seem to be unpleasant, but for some reason, I make a joke that seems harmless, and I get that "ooooooh, that's so creepy Jim!" sort of attitude.

I'm ready to form my own society on a deserted island, who wants to join me????

Yes, sadly, I have been called creepy in the past. Two people at work was having a convo and the person just randomly pointed at me and said "hes creepy", I even all heard the person friend also say, "yeah, I don't like him". Even though I had little to no social interaction with ethier of them but just judged me because of my negative AS trait (Staring).

I am a pretty creepy guy. I think it's because I tend to sidle up to people. Imagine a 6'2" 270 pound guy suddenly appearing close to you without notice. Now imagine he's got a completely blank expression or a smile that doesn't quite look right. Yeah, you'd say I'm creepy too.

I think I worked too hard as a kid at walking silently. Maybe I should start carrying tic-tacs in my pocket.

I've been told I come off as a little creepy sometimes. I don't know if I actually do, or if the person who told me that was just trying to be mean.

Not since high school, and even then, "freak" was people's preferred term of address.

I didn't know that was making fun, I am serious when I ask that question to people. 8O
