i have a classical obsession with the philosophic systems of epistemology (knowledge) and ethics. it's...interesting at times. now i'm trying to make Christianity my obsession, but it a non 'get-away-from-me-you-jesusy-weirdo' kind of way.

I am obsessed with Pokémon especially when it comes to battling and competitive battling, which I'll assume goes under fiction, although they could also go under animals, even if they are fictional pocket monsters. As for disaster preparedness, I used to stay up at night and scrounge the house for bandages, aloe vera, cotton balls and whatnot to but into a empty pencil case for my own personal first aid kit. The only thing about it that upset me was not being able to use it all the time since whenever I got cuts, they were already healed by the time I realize they're there.

I said animals (in general), because I've been interested in them since childhood, but I'm also interested in medicine/neurology/stuff.

I left this thread and forgot to mention Wizard Rock and various bands depending on when you ask me... right now it's Ministry of Magic and specifically Don't Leave... Anyways... like I said, my interests form no patterns.

tennisballmorality- what aspects of christianity? or just anything like that? curious because I know of several very decent books/stuff related to christianity and the bible. For me it was/is christianity according to what the Bible said.

I forgot about roller-coasters! I used to know a guy who liked them and trains!

LOL, some of these sound so interesting! Especially AudibleSilence's pencil case... that sounds so fun!

tennisballmorality, I barely understand what you're saying. I wish I did, though. It sounds fascinating. I had the Bible as my special interest for a little while and I study it regularly, if you ever want to talk about it. I know rather less (in fact, nothing at all) about the other stuff, but it does sound like a fun thing to study.

(I think special interests are contagious.)

Club? There was a club? I definitely did take inventory, though. Wearing gloves and pretending I was among wild animals. I played with my Beanie Babies.

YUP! I had an official certificate, a clubby bear, a TY membership card (looked like a cool debit card), and a TY coin. it was pretty neat.

Any form of transportation, but especially stuff that runs on rails (trains, monorails, roller coasters), floats in water, or flies in the air. Cars and other automobiles not so much. Bigger is better

My main interest is learning languages, so I chose other. On a language forum I used to go to there were a couple other aspies. :)

My other interests are computers and music/instruments, but not as much as languages, so I didn't vote for either of those.

Number 1 for me is languages.

I also obsessed about philosophy for years (and still like it).

I majored in psychology, and still like it.

I work with computers, and taught myself the equivalent of a Computer Science degree. And still obsess.

But languages were there at age 10, and are still with me in middle age.

So I voted "Other" too - languages.

I love languages, but I've been phenomenally unlucky in learning them. Leaving the school where I was learning French, a Spanish teacher who decided she didn't want to teach it to me anymore, a would-be Chinese teacher who suddenly had another thing to do and never did get back to me...

I don't know, but I like several things, such as music, psychology, philosophy, linguistics, literature, art in general, cultures, history...

My special interest would be animals (especially those of the extinct variety).

Unfortunately, I often get bullied because of my interest.

Cool. I used to like dinosaurs... haven't read up on them in ages, though, so I've probably missed all sorts of information!
