The posts helped me gather some of mine:
- Loud Stereo/TV department "music" - sucks
- Sheer Rap
- Too repetitive music (make my ears recalling and recalling)
- Loud TV commercials, fortunately I watch little TV (this sound is highly compressed in dynamics and bass-boosted)
- Tapping fingers / mouth sounds (except mine )
- Moving the curtains on a loud rail in the apartment below
- Harsh sounds from the watertubes in the building
- Coughing at night in the neighborhood
- Extended barking periods at night
- Hearing a loud conversation. This is asocial, anyway.
- Loud car-door falpping when I try to rest.
- All-day commercial radio listening at my workplace can accumulate into high irritation.
- When somebody regularly laughs unnatural and loud.
- All sort of low-level and low-frequency sounds. This may include modified/bad car exhaust systems, nearby plants, nearby highway, etc.
Vacuums don't bother me, perhaps because I was fascinated by them in my childhood.
I learned to cope with these and similar things better along the years, though I was never that sensitive to loud sounds generally.
