Actually, I hate all communication that isn't scripted. I know, I know, if it's scripted it isn't communication, but putting that aside for a moment, I'm okay with rote questions because they get rote answers. What I hate is real questions because (1) they induce immediate brainfreeze and (2) when it thaws I feel seriously compromised, like the questioner is trying to take away something that until now has been in my sole possession. I may decide they're entitled, but honestly, it's so fraught with anxiety, I'd much prefer to just pop off a rote answer. (Which I guess is ...munication.)
I know. It still amazes me to read things like this that describe how I feel but have been unable to articulate.

It depends, if it's a question to which there is a concrete answer I don't mind, like if someone asks me directions, or asks how to fix something, or if I'm hungry etc.

but if it's questions that ask me to recall something, or that have somewhat vague answers, I pretty much freeze up. things like, how are you doing?, what's up?, and how did that make you feel?.

but worse then that are interview questions, things like, describe a time when you worked with a co-worker to solve a problem, or describe a time when you didn't get along with a co-worker, what did you do to solve your problems?
How I'm I supposed to answer those? I don't work with my co-workers to fix things, even if I supposed to, and if I don't get along with someone I do petty and spiteful things to them until they quit, but I can't exactly say that in a interview.

So yes, I hate questions.

It depends on how much I know the person asking the question and the subject topic but the mundane 'how was your day' ect realy annoys me and even more when people folow the first question with a aload of other somtimes unrelated questions.. I dont mind questions aslong I know the person asking them fairly well and they are of interest to me.

It does get annoying. I especially hate it when someone approaches me and asks questions while I work on my computer.
