I am on maternity leave, and when I went back into the office to visit a few times, there were a handful of names I could not remember. I could remember where they sit, what they do, to whom they report, etc., but not their names.

That being said, there are still many names that I can remember. But I have to see them written down, otherwise I cannot remember them. When I recall someone's name, I recall simply that - their name. It is like I can see it in Times New Roman in my mind's eye. Or maybe it is more like Arial.

But I can't recall what their face looks like. More often than not (and strangely), I could tell you what they wore the last time I saw them, though.

I'm terrible with the face/name thing too. Doesn't really matter how hard I try to associate a name and face when meeting them - it never works. Hard to make new friends when you can't remember their names at a second meeting. Most people take that as a lack of interest/insult.

I remember faces a lot better than I remember names.
