I enjoy getting/giving presents, I hate having to open them in front of people though. Even if it's the perfect gift I have trouble expressing my appreciation, I've hurt several peoples feelings in the past because I wasn't "happy" enough when I opened the gift, it's not that I wasn't happy about it, I just didn't see the need to jump around like an idiot, waving my hands in the air.
Most of the time I tell people not to get me anything, or if the insist I tell them to give me money/beer/food.
Probably the best thing you could give me is tickets to something, or a trip somewhere. One of the best presents I've gotten in years was for my birthday last year, my sister took me the Texas Renaissance Festival. Material things don't last, memories last forever.
