Is there a "top of the WP foodchain"? It probably depends which forum you lurk on; The PPR forum and Random have different uber-posters, who have little to do with each other.

Wrong phrase? OK, um popularity thing.

I'll eat anyone I can fit in me gob.

A lot of group-think occurring on WP lately.

What's wrong with that?

It becomes tiresome when one experiences it in everyday life. It would be great to have an escape from that kind of mentality from time to time. It's alien to how I naturally think. My way of thinking is just different.

But others think differently, so they should be able to think the way they wish to.
On the internet, one has the option to merely ignore and not read something that they disagree with. Not all do that, but if annoys one so greatly, they do have that option.

(By the way, in person, I'm not a group person whatsoever. I hardly talk in most of my classes at school and the worst parts of assignments are group assignments. That being said, I'm different when I can communicate by means of typing... thus, I probably seem different sometimes on here compared to how I am in real life.)

When you think about it, the people that are complaining about the regular posters taking up all the space are actually forming their own group. And their group are going against the regulars group so in the end are just as prone to herd mentality/us vs them as anyone else. Virtually no-one, no matter what their way of thinking is, is immune to it.
I do admit I sometimes get a but annoyed with members here and there, whether for popularity reasons or not but I'm not denying it! Group mentality is everywhere, you can't get away from it at all.

Is it possible that some people post a lot here because they are bored and lonely and this is one of their only forms of interaction with other people? You know? That whole AUTISTIC thing?

Not that I ever feel that way.
