Truth be told, I do know what I'm laughing to myself about most of the time but don't expect me to explain the whole thing every single detail everytime someone asks about it. People asking about it is pretty annoying.

I sometimes laugh at the punchline of a joke in a movie before the joke is finished, so I end up laughing before everyone else. I also laugh at observations in a movie that apparently no one else notices -- a lot of the time, it's clever wordplay or something similarly abstract.

Same as me. The last time I saw a movie in the theater, I laughed at many things absolutely no one else did.

Yeah, it's make you feel a little odd, doesn't it?

The latest clever wordplay that I thought was funny was from Tron: legacy -- "You have an interesting way of being disinterested, Sam.". I usually laugh at the lame stuff, lol.

A bit.

Yep, something like that would be what I'd laugh at.

I don't know how many times I've been walking and I think of something moderately funny in my head and then somebody asks me what's so funny or why I'm smiling even when I'm trying my hardest to suppress the expression of emotions. Wow that was a large run-on sentence. 8O

Yeah, sometimes a funny image or idea will pop into my head and I'll laugh. It's not good when it happens in the middle of, say, when I'm supposed to be listening to someone, and looking like I'm laughing at what they're saying would be really bad.

As a kid (like just before school age) I'd sometimes find odd things inordinately funny. I'd have laughing spells that would go on and on, where I literally hurt afterward. I remember at least one parent being really weirded out by thate (and I was really oblivious to adults at that age, so that's saying something). I've always liked comedy, jokes, and joking around, and I've wondered if the laughter-part of my brain is mis-wired to be prone to little seizures or something. (I think of it as a good thing, though. A sense of humor is one of my few saving graces IRL.)

I completely agree with this.

Yes I seem to have a built-in comedy machine that keeps telling me hilarious in-jokes that nobody else would find funny. It would usually take too long to explain what I'm laughing at. I know somebody else who also does it...and I've long thought that they're an Aspie.

I think it comes from our tendency to think independently, so rather than follow the social conversation that's happening at the time, we're following our own ideas.

Yes of course. A huge percentage of my daily life is spent laughing for no reason, or at things I remembered from ages ago.

On another note, some real-life adult humour disgusts me, but I absolutely love cartoon adult humour.
