Hats are too small for me. Plus, I've always thought my entire head (face and all) was slightly too large for the rest of my body. My hair is also super-thick, so that certainly doesn't help.

I've often been told that I have a large head, and I'm quite struck by the fact that most of the people who've posted here seem to be similarly affected. :P

I don't know if I have a big head, but it's hard for me to wear hats since they seem too small for my head.

MY husband and I both have smaller than average heads, but we are smaller than average people. Well, my proportions are, except that I'm fat, I USED to be smaller than average. Our son is also very small for his age. He has a small head, but quite a large forehead. We HIGHLY suspect that he is also an aspie. He's too young to know for sure I think.

My head is normal sized, as are all my facial features.

Can't say my head is out of proportion, but it's obviously larger than most because I can't wear adjustable caps and have to buy fitted ones.

Is this true?

Im sure I read it before and I alwasy get told I have a big head. Figuritvely.

So do you have asperger/asutism adn think you have a proportionally large head?

I especially have a large forehead

I evidently do... I wear a 7 7/8" hat size, and XXL-XXXL motorcycle helmets. And if it means anything, my head got stuck at birth, and caused the need for emergency C-section.

I have heard that it is one of the factors Dr's pay attention to with newborn children. That's why they measure the head circumference of babies for a year. Large skulls can mean many different things, mostly hydrocephalus, which is fluid collecting in the brain and can be fatal. I have also heard that a trait of ASD is a large head.

I'm not sure how much credit I give to that since it's not an exact science, and there have been many 'studies' and few 'conclusions.'

I have a big head, or maybe just big hair. I've never fit into hats of any kind.

Don't know if this helps, but it's what I know.

It depends on your body size. If you're a big-built person, you will have a big head. I know loads of NT men who are big and so have a really big head. I know some women who have a large head too. I have a small to ordinary sized head. All hats are too big for me. I never had a big head as a baby.

Maybe it's because my brain is missing social knowledge AND intellectual knowledge! (Because I am not clever for an Aspie).

As a newly diagnosed aspie, I went to a local support group meeting and the one thing I noticed (besides how fabulously cool these people were) was that we all had exceptionally large foreheads (just like a lot of people at Los Alamos National Laboratory, a previous employer).

As far as I know my head is of normal size but my forehead is quite large, although I've never really paid much attention to it until now. When I was little my head was quite large but now, apart from the aforementioned forehead, it seems to be relatively proportional to the rest of my body.

Not exactly head size, but more recently a results of a study on brain size of infants came up with brain size based clues toward autism:

But in a interesting way this was a theory as early as 2003~ or so. Just not backed by research till recently.
