I dress mainly for comfort as certain fabrics and adornments drive me loopy. My sense of style is quite conservative and I always look tidy. I never stand out unless I want to and I have some flattering dresses for that. On a typical day, I'll wear Skechers walking shoes, bootcut jeans, long sleeved plain or stripy top, in colours that I find pleasing. I only have one pair of heels, for very special occasions, but they are stylish, fairly comfortable and held on with an ankle strap.

I dress comfortably yet stylishly. I don't follow trends rather I follow what's been popular for years eg little black dress. I've been told I have good dress sense :) I find it silly when I see girls going to the shopping center in winter wearing short shorts or a tank top. Sigh, they are going to catch a cold....

I dress very generically. Solid colour t shirts (usually baggy) jeans, and just normal shoes.

However I go crazy when I DJ.

I wear flouro/smiley T shirts, long camo pants, military boots, black hoodies/punk jackets (with the hood up) and a gas mask. Usually i'm wearing loads of home made circuitboard pieces. More or less, when I DJ I become my alter ego, which I have named cypher.

I'm the exact opposite - I hate being different in terms of my dress, because I have learned that most people will approach you and treat you in certain ways depending on the way you dress. So I aim for clothes that are both comfy and stylish. I usually wear a graphic tee and cargo pants. Artsy graphic tees are a bit of an obsession for me. I like standing out a bit with some bright graphic tees, since it does reflect my personality.

My attitude toward stylish clothing varied with time in the past. Actually, I've never managed to cloth stylish or eccentrically stylish in the eyes of people. Usually I wear clothes and shoes for longer than others do, and it shows up I'm being a bit threadbare and out of style, especially my shoes. I wear jeans, sporty street shoes, shirts like golf shirts with a few buttons. One strange combination is when I wear a blue sport jacket and my usual orange strap watch. It's interesting, how poor my vocabulary is when it comes to describing different kinds of clothes, even on my own language.

At home or in the garden I wear simple t-shirts, flannel pants of tracksuits. When I'm home and it's hot, like now, I strip to underwear, or sometimes even to my skin when I'm alone. When I was a young child, my parents had to force me to wear my clothes at home, otherwise I stripped off and scattered them. I remember, when my father went to shop for clothes with me, I often made him upset, as I always complained trying on a pair of trousers that it prickled me.

if there is no set dress-code (black/white tie formal event or a fancy dress party), i opt for the blue jeans off best-buy (or simular) and shirts/socks/undies out of the dollar bin at wallmart (or simular); these are clothes that, usually, dont irritate me, and they never go out of fashion, so it's always possible to pull off wearing them without getting a weird look.
ok, it's never *in* fashion either, but i dont give a donkey's behind about that.

as for colours, usually the basic pure colours, dark red, dark blue and black make up the main palette if you open my drawers (or, more exact, the 'clean laundry' stack; no ironing required for my clothes, so why bother)

Red T-Shirts (dunno why, but I like the color on my skin but I am willing to try Ts with dark shades of blue green and so on, if the stores had them) and sports related shorts (ex. basketball shorts) that feels comfortable on my skin. I am one of the very select group of people that do nor wear jeans or pants. As for suits; last time I wore a suit I was 3 or 4 years old, so I am stubborn/picky attitude towards clothing.

I am amazed on how people can wear jeans when it is scorching hot outside. Then people are astonished when I wear my clothing all year round even during snow storms and rain. Maybe I am remotely related to the Yeti  .

I would say the latter is more likely. But I have noticed that people on the spectrum tend to develop repetitive "uniforms", or similar sets of clothes that they wear again and again.
I sure do....

For a very long time, my "uniform" has consisted of a neutral-colored T-shirt, khaki pants, and sandals. That is what I wear 95% of the time if I go out somewhere.

At work, I wear professional clothes: dress shirt, slacks, nice shoes, sometimes a tie. But again, it is uniform-style. Very formulaic and repetitive.

And all of it ignores most current trends in dress. I simply don't pay attention to that stuff.

for the last 3 years I've work jeans, a black or white tee shirt and an unzipped grey hoodie, sorta like a simpsons character.

I don't think girls wear high-heels for comfort. :P

High-heels are hot though and girls want to look hot, so there you have it.

Comfort is #1 priority. I like to wear the same thing every day. I like exercise clothing because it's loose-fitting and soft, but I don't look like a complete misfit; I just look like an athlete.

I disagree. I've never found the look of women in high-heels 'hot' in the slightest. It's bizarre to see them tottering around like that.

I do tend to wear my denim capris and my hoodie with the head phones. People often give me funny looks wearing a hoodie in the hot weather. But I can't go anywhere without either of them. Worst part is, my denim capris tend to get dirty more often.

I don't really think there's a "typical" way, other than the fact that a large majority of us wear what we deem as comfortable, and many of us don't really take into consideration what other people wear when choosing our clothing. (Not saying we all don't; just saying many.)
