You have a common product in a highly competitive market - price alone will not sell you. You need to really work your 'natural' hook. Green services routinely charge a bit more and people are willing to pay that price for the perceived value - whether its a real value or an ethical one. If you are advertising a 'green' business, make sure you are using recycled content paper and soy ink! And say that on your ad in small print. You gotta walk the walk... true believers will call you out on this in a second by walking away.
Hmmm... I'm thinking this over and realize I could easily apply the niche "green" business model here to the wealthier areas. We're already using battery electric equipment, so things like recycled paper and soy ink (Man, how could I print my ads off in my printer using soy ink??? Oh, at this price and quality level, I'm thinking I'll probably need professionally done ads anyway.) could complete the "green" angle, and I could market a parallel 'green' business to the side of my current 'college lower-price' niche. Given the potential payoff, that'd definitely be worth investigating!
My therapist mentioned that "green" angle back when I was persuing that business. You're already much further along with it than I ever was. Good luck.
