My brother and I are the only 2 males of our generation with our last name and neither of us have kids. I am not planning on it.

I wish my father's bloodline would die out, but unfortunately my cousins enjoy breeding too much. I will, however, do my part and make sure that my father has no direct descendants other than myself.

My father's side would, since I'm an only child.
Not my mother's side though. I have a lot of cousins and one of them already has 2 children.
I might want children... but not right now. Heck, I'm not even married yet.

My sister and I are still single in our late 20s (a shocker considering how many people my age I know are married and/or already having kids). Our cousins will probably continue the family line but don't expect us to.

Besides the population of this country scares me. I know it's nowhere near the level of China or India but it still scares me.

It may turn out for the best. Depending on how inheritable AS really is, I wouldn't want anyone else with AS growing up in either an overtly conservative or too strictly Korean environment like I did.

I hope not. I do want to start a family someday, but nearly everyone I connect with in other ways doesn't want kids.

So my only options are to date a right-wing fundamentalist, or outright forbid someone to get an abortion.

again, the word God is used as a filler, well if you don't mind, could you at least say which god your refering to, our english volcabulary seems to be getting smaller every day,

For my natrual father.... I am the end of the line...and I am not having kids because of medications that I cant forgo like seiuzure medicine and such. His only brother died without having any kids....popping a wheely on a motercycle through a red light at an intersection and getting creamed by a semi truck . I think he could have won a darwin award for that. He almost died twice before from bites from his PET rattlesnake! 8O

My father got nutured after having me...not a good sign huh??
So I am his only biological child and I am not having kids. Although he does have two stepkids from his 3rd wife and they are a happy family....so I guess in that way the family will go on, but the paternal genes stop here. However on my mom's side, my cousin just had a baby and my mom is great aunt...so the maternal genes wil live on.

Do I feel bad? Not really there are some crazies on my biological dad's side, so I dont feel bad.

I won't be having any kids, but my younger brother has already given the family 2 nieces(though one is Autistic so she's unlikely to have any kids) and the eldest is very outgoing and charming. I'd frankly be shocked if she doesn't have at least a few kids of her own in the future.

Nope. I hope not anyway. My parents are about to have two grand children. My brother's is due at the end of September. I saw on his girlfriend's Facebook page thanking her pregnancy for the boobs she always wanted.

My sister is pregnant with her third child right now, and most of my cousins have at least one. I gladly leave all of the reproduction up to them... :)

My cousins have had tons of kids on my behalf. So I have no fear of my genes not being packaged and passed on elsewhere.

No chance of me continuing the line. My brother has a son but I'm not so sure about him either.

Ok, are we talking about family name, or bloodline? Make up your mind.
I’m the youngest of eight; I have 11 nephews and nieces. Countless cousins. (My father who is a genealogist, has worked out we have something like 900 living relatives worldwide. The genes are doing quite well, thank you very much.) As for the name, does it really matter? As in who really cares about a name, some random collection of letters that are the result of the mis-hearing or mis-spelling of given names in ages gone.

Learning the rules of grammar and correct English spelling seems to have gone to hell as well.

To which god are you referring? not "which god your refering to".
you're not "your".

I don't think my bloodline is in any immediate danger. Both sides of my family love to reproduce. My maternal grandmother, for instance, has six living children, about twenty grandchildren, and God knows how many great-grandchildren.

As for my family name, I have no reason to believe that it should disappear any time soon (unless some unforeseeable accident should occur in the future). My half-brother has one son, and my male cousin (son of my paternal uncle, so he shares the family name) already has one son and another on the way, so I guess it's going to be all on their shoulders to carry on the family name, because I have no desire to have any children of my own.

My immediate family shows no signs of reproducing; but both my parents have siblings who have kids and in some cases grandkids.

So yeah, all my genes are floating around there somewhere.
