From the little I've followed of the case and trial, she seems like a textbook sociopath.

Yes, some killers have Aspergers as well as scientists (Albert Einstein), presidents (Thomas Jefferson) and composers (Wolfgang Amadeaus Mozart) who have been SUSPECTED but not proven to have Aspergers. A good way to shine a positive spotlight on Aspergers if people are going to stereotype those with AS as heartless killers. IMO, Even if Casey Anthony does have AS, I think that only a few number of people are going to be afraid of AS basically if they be careful and not jump to conclusions when it comes to stereotypes.

From what I've read about her, Casey Anthony seemed to have a very active social life. I think that alone would discourage much speculation about her having Asperger's.

It's unbelievable that such ignorance regarding AS still abounds in this day and age. It is especially disturbing when it emanates from a journalist who might be expected to....oh I don't know.... GET THEIR FACTS STRAIGHT . Instead....this idiot has done a fantastic job of reinforcing the most asinine myths/stereotypes about AS while harming our community even further by associating us AGAIN with murderous sociopaths and sadists!! ! :x Hopefully the general public is just informed and intelligent enough to realize we are FAR MORE likely to be the victims of crime and abuse rather than the perpetrators of it!! !
