I had KOL as an obsession for two years... had an item collection in my display case that was missing less than ten items (some of which were custom items that I couldn't have gotten anyway). My display case was the third most complete on the entire site. I forced myself to stop visiting the site all at once, during finals, and gave away the collection because I knew it would be literally impossible to build it back up again. I think part of what was creating an obsession for me was programming KOLMafia to do an ascension for me... like, all by itself, just starting the script in the morning and having it run. I never quite got it perfect, but I had it down to three or four sub-scripts...

I've got into photography this year after having a DLSR camera for Xmas. I'm better at the artistic side of things than the te hnical but I'm getting better.

I'm a nightmare to go out anywhere with now though because I want to stop and take pictures of everything lol

Building a particle accelerator.

Actually, no. Just competing with the Tesla coil and EMP pulse builders on the last page.
My impulse engines are coming through though.

Latest: Military aircraft, Burn Notice, the Showtime channels, detecting coronal mass ejections (or trying to catch a glimpse of the aurora) and reading about Area 51; official declassified stuff.

True crime shows, like 48 Hours Mystery and Dateline
Video games, but I've always been into those
Dean Koontz novels, I've read three in a row now. It's always nice to discover another author that I like!

Heavy weapons, Science Fiction, cats, particle physics, Industrial Music, translating songs and other texts, art, Cold War-era bunkers...
These aren't current interests per se. I've had the same interests since I was a child.

Group B rally ( 1980's phenomena, got banned in 86 ) and things relating to it.

That has been dominating my thoughts for the last year.

My previous obsession was the history of the world land speed record & Art' Arfons in particular.
