Pretty much what I stated here: http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt167915.html

My ideal life is one where I can just go and do whatever I want when I want without facing judgment from other people...because I am just gonna roam the world doing whatever. I would have a plenty enough income so I can eat, sleep, travel, and have all my traveling needs with me. My laptop would be with me at all times and I would have complete internet access. If I do find my ideal place to settle down then likely I will but I would rather go out there and see what my options are first.

All in all, my ideal life is one that will keep me busy without people screaming at me for stupid useless stuff.

Out in central Oregon somewhere, possibly Bend. Lots of farmland with plenty of stinky animals to take care of.
The thing that would top it off is if I had a different dad.

My ideal life would be that of a bird that lives for a hundred years, at least, and has no predators.

Realistically:

Owning a small house somewhere out of town where I can chill out and relax whenever I'm not in town working for an engineering firm. I may or may not have a spouse and children.

Ideally:

I want to be captain of the starship Enterprise and lead the attack on the Death Star. I could definitely outdo Akbar and Picard, but I'm not sure about Kirk.

Realistically, I'd like to be holed up in a house far away from society, where I don't have to be bothered by others. And a computer as my only companion.

Idealistically, I'd like to live in a fantasy land where I'm a dragon or half-dragon breed, instead of being a boring human.

For me, the perfect life is one without other people's expectations.

Unrealistic expectations expressed through the constant questions "Why aren't you married yet?" or "When are you going ot have children"?

They make it sound as if there is some kind of schedule that has to be followed strictly. Well, my life is my own, and I don't need any damned schedules.

I would love to go out with a bus-driver who is introverted like me and so won't reject me through influence and obligation from extroverted mates. And I want to live with him in the Isle of Wight, down by the sea in a posh little villa, with no noisy neighbours with loudmouth brats. And I would like to have a part-time job there, assisting cleaning, washing-up and preparing small meals in a small kitchen, working with nice, mature people who aren't back-stabbers, and just include me and make me feel just as important as the next person. My close relatives can choose to live near if they want so that I can still see them, but no cousins because they are party-animals, and I want to distance myself as far as possible from party-animals because then I won't get so upset over what I'm missing, and just live an easygoing life instead.

Free from depression and crippling anxiety.

I would have a fair amount of acreage and a sustainable lifestyle in the country. The house would essentially be an underground bunker with windows that would be sort of half way between a pillbox bunker and one of the houses in The Shire from LOTR. I would be able to provide all of my own energy and food by living off the land and would be somewhere with no property taxes so I didn't have to hold a job. It would be far enough from major cities that I didn't have to worry about dealing with the rest of humanity in the case of societal collapse or an asteroid impact. I would also have living quarters for my family, in a separate building on site. I would also want a T1 line so that I could have great internet access to explore all of the ideas my mind can generate. It would also be nice to have a dedicated fallout shelter on the premises, but I would probably just build the house in such a way as to minimize the effects of fallout in case of nuclear war.

Now, for a real fantasy, I would also be able to find someone to love, marry and have children with. She'd be a Christian, an intellectual, and skilled in things I am not.

I would want a small house: Two bedrooms (one for an office/craft area), a kitchen, a breakfast nook type place, some food storage area, a bathroom. Living in the mountains, no yard maintenance. I would like a job were I have little contact with people, maybe a home based job were I had to go into the office maybe once a week or less. I would love to have a dog and maybe a cat. I would have a strict schedule to follow like Monday is cleaning day, Tuesday is grocery day, etc. I would have checklists to follow, making things much easier for me to remember. My kids would be grown, happy and doing their own thing. They would come to visit me, every so often, call me to check in and talk about new adventures in their lives. I would love to have a small RV or camper, so I could go camping in the nicer months. I would be part of groups that share the same likes and dislikes as I do. Maybe volunteer with a group in town, working with animals or shelving books at the library. My contact with the public would be JUST ENOUGH to keep me happy, but not a daily thing. I can't stand other peoples nonsense, especially the NT's world of contradictory social rules and behaviors.

Money no object - I'd be doing research and teaching 3-4 days a week.

I'd also have an amazing PA who handled all my work / finance organisational stuff, and a housekeeper who handled all the house organisational stuff, including cleaning (they might need to employ people to do this) they'd also sort out cooking and shopping when me and my SO did not want to do this.

The amazing PA and housekeeper would also understand when I told them to leave me alone for a week (though they'd get in touch if it was an emergency I had to make a decision on.)

I'd live in the city, but I'd have enough money I could either buy a cottage, or regularly visit hotels that overlook the sea. I'd own a house big enough I could have a room just to myself for my stuff.

I'd eat out quite a bit - I love good food.

And I own at least one motorbike and an open top sports car and live suitably near roads I could use them on...
