I don't understand how people can do this.

Skip brushing your teeth in the morning, and you'll walk around all day with yucky morning breath. :eew:

Skip brushing them at night, and you'll go to bed with the day's food still stuck to them. :eew:

Which are you skipping? Morning, or evening?

For both:

Change your underwear every day. Do not wear the same pair.

Why not? :?

If they don't smell, then they should still be good.

I don't wear underwear. Haven't for years. As long as you have reasonably good bowel control and you do your laundry more than once a month, you shouldn't have any problems.

I have no idea. Why change them if they aren't dirty? Why change panties and waste a pad if there is no blood on the underwear? If the pad is still good and can hold more blood, wear the same pair with the same pad.

Mom could never get me to wear a different pair everyday because it didn't make sense. Plus kids couldn't see under my pants anyway so no way they would know I wear the same pair.

the reason is because there is a crapload (see what i did there?) of bacteria on a person's underthings as the groin area is a cesspool of ick, whether they can smell it or not. never mind the minute traces of fecal matter and urine that are left behind on underwear. :eew:

also it is very hard for a person to be able smell their own body odor, and that includes their own "swass" (sweaty ass).

the same goes for people who go commando. if you are going to skip undies, you should wash your pants EVERY DAY. which is a huge waste of resources compared to washing a little scrap of underwear.

Ahem!

Not all people who go commando wear trousers. Some of them wear skirts.

And, yes: "down there" (both front and back) gets stinky very quickly. Both genders: feel free to wash that area thoroughly at least once a day!

I would really, really love to have a Japanese toilet. *sigh*

They wash and dry your bits for you. No toilet paper required.

It's okay to wipe your nose in public, but if you have to blow your nose, do it in the bathroom--or in the corner of a room if it's an emergency.

If you need to pick your nose, use a Kleenex or a napkin.

That's not related to hygiene. That's called having fussy manners.

I was never taught that it's wrong to blow one's nose in public. Far better to blow your nose than to leave it and have it running all down your face.

I've heard since I was six that it's rude to blow your nose at the table. I am not sure about public places but that didn't surprise me when she said it. I can remember my teacher making this boy in my class blow his nose right next to the trash cans where kids dump their food and trash. I remember in school kids would blow their nose at the trash can. I guess that is the right spot to do it.
