I like travelling, but only for short periods of time (few days at most).

One of the biggest problems I find is that travelling alone is more expensive (in terms of accommodation etc) and does get a bit isolated at times. It would often be nice to eat in restaurants, but it is difficult to get a single table in anywhere popular.

My foreign language abilities are seriously lacking, I only speak English and "Foreign" which is an amalgamation of French, German, Spanish, Dutch and probably others.

I don't mind travelling. I don't strongly like it or strongly dislike it. But I like it. I only don't like airoplanes because I know I would be put next to someone's else's brat who's having a nasty tantrum the whole way and I can't tolerate that horrible noise!! !! !! !! !

Traveling would mean that I have to break all my routines, and that I would have to find my way around new places, and I have a rather bad sense of location, but it is not impossible to overcome these obstacles.

I do not travel, for two reasons. One is that I am alone, and it seems pointless to travel on my own. It would feel better to share the experience, but that is not possible. The other is that it would cost money, which I might be unwilling to spend.

Traveling abroad is the best thing ever! It's especially great for personal growth. I have made just as we with Asperger's Syndrome are misunderstood by others in our general doings, the way and reasons we travel is misunderstood. I have found most people travel because they want to visit places others deemed to be tourist attractions, which to me could be anywhere; it's arbitrary what is worthy of visiting. To me, the everyday things of a new culture are interesting enough. People think you are weird if you travel for personal growth, but I think it's weird to go to a new country and say "there's nothing to do here" just because the place wasn't arbitrarily chosen as being worthy of the title "tourist attraction".

I love travelling, it's just the way you get there that bothers me. Been to vietnam for a month, thailand for also a month, cambodia and bali for two weeks each. If teleportation was invented I would be so happy :)

Yes, of course. Beyond seeing natural beauty there are some perks.

A) It's a hothouse of socialization where the actors are changing constantly and in a place where they are open to new people. You can experiment with socialization and never see any of them again.

B) if the destination is a special interest for you, well, it's on everyone's conversation menu EVERY DAMN DAY! I can talk myself blue and always be on topic.

C) A tan never hurts with the opposite sex.

My NT status is unknown but I absolutely adore seeing other places. The transportation to and from can be tedious, but the destination is often more than worth it. I'd imagine after a few days of travelling and sightseeing, though, I'd probably need to stay at a place for a couple of days to recharge for the next leg of the journey.
