Both, and simultaneously by my peers. If you told me to define that, clown equals genius plus idiot. So that's me.

But I actually don't like to joke around that lot, and I prefer to shut my mouth. So an adult would think that I'm a genius.

Yes sometimes people think I am an idiot, I don't think I am.........but maybe I am not as intelligent as I think either, maybe I just fail in so many other aspects of my life I was just clinging to the belief I have high intelligence so I did not have to feel like a total loser......but even if i do have high intelligence what good does it do me when I cannot use it to get a job and even getting a college degree seems like an unreachable goal.

Both, and both are incorrect.

Something I hate:

"How could you possibly have trouble with ______? I thought you were a genius?"

I never claimed to be a genius. I never mentioned any super-ultra-mega-genius skills I might have. I don't even use big words anymore, because my therapist forced me to remove them from my everyday lexicon in order to appear as normal as possible. And I think many people have misunderstood my impatience to be intelligence.

Anyway, the better I get to know someone, the dumber they think I am. I apparently come off as highly intelligent at first, then I surprise people with the things I don't know, and then they slowly get less surprised and start sighing and shaking their heads at my odd inability to do whatever it is I can't do that time. u_u

I'm with the majority here, so both both and either. :)

I get it with people who don't really get to know or appreciate me. It can go the opposite way too, when people are initially deceived by my appearance and manners.

Both. As a child, I was seen as gullible too, which I'm definitely not. People always get the wrong impression of me. The teachers at school and uni thought I was a swot, but the truth was that I couldn't study, I just remembered everything.

Both. But I think I'm neither. It would definitely be nice to be a genius though...

It depends on who these "people" are and how on earth would I know what they think about me? :D

Mostly I think that they consider me weird and smart. Somehow people I encountered tend to trust me a lot and believe anything I tell them. I must look honest, too. :D

to the OP: Do people generally see you as a black and white, all or nothing kind of guy?

I don't really know. But I would like to know had people ever said that they where smarter than you? I had people say this to me and it was the same guy who would call me slow or idiot just because I have spacing out problems. I sometimes am a complete idiot because I would get simple problems wrong on math assignments and people will react to the mistakes as if the world blew up. Well atleast that one kid but he was a jerk and I hate him but a lot of people will say to me that I am a idiot or just slow this did not happen to me last year though only this year for some reason I wonder if it had to do with my depression that is causing me to think slow. Or if I am mwntally alow in that case I don't know how to cope with that.

Usually people see me as a mad genius.
