How can someone rule out AS just by looking at you?

Um, the literature says that in aspies ToM is delayed, not absent. And it's not delayed in all - some have more subtle problems than that.


Yeah, it kind of makes me lose faith in a doctor when they come out with stuff like that. Mad thing is, my son does have what I can only describe as an incomplete theory of mind.

On the other hand, my psychiatrist knew right away and the neurologist I saw did what you said the psych did. She saw me for 5 minutes and said no autism. Right, but I have close to a dozen doctors who have confirmed it...
