I am an abominable snowperson, and I much prefer winter to summer. For abominable snowpeople, summer is quite an ordeal.

I can tolerate warm better than cold, so I'd vote summer is better than winter. Hiking, cycling is better when the weather is friendly and warm and days are longer than nights. Besides, I always prefer less clothing. Nature is beautiful from spring to autumn, in winter it's bleak.

I envy those people who move south for winter every year. A mild, perpetuated summer would be heaven to me...

I agree I think summer is so overrated, I see nothing likeable about summer the stinking hot weather, the flies, the mosquitos, not being able to work in the garden as its too hot.
people dress better in the winter in the summer they just slop around in tank tops and shorts.

Agreed. It's pure hell. Can't wait for January blizzards! I love the way snow looks when it is falling and when it blankets the ground. The ice crystals shimmer in the sunlight and the sky is such a vivid hue. It's totally amazing. The long icicles hanging from roofs. I love everything about winter!

Yeah I like the darkness when it snows at night and the darkness of the clouds if I remember right. love love love it.

I'm looking forward to summer too. It's spring and we're still stuck with winter temperatures despite the Sun shining in the sky. Cannot wait for clear skies at night because I want to take my telescope out again.

Being in Australia though temperatures in summer can range from 22 deg C to 45 deg C. 45 is 100 F and it's been known to get hotter than that.

I wouldn't mind some snow but only when I have the proper wardrobe for it and a nice wood fire going.

The weather wasn't too bad today. A top of 17. I've been sitting outside just waiting for the Sun to get clear of the clouds. Oh well, at least my clothes on the line are drying. For the last two days it was raining on and off all day.
