I believe it means you need to break everything down into discreet concreet rules or procedures to understand it. I know I do.
Part of the reason I have trouble with spelling, too many exceptions to the rules. It doesn't mean working with mechanical things but it is very helpful doing so.
I doesn't mean you are bad at art, I am good at it. A lot of art can be broken down into understandable rules and procedures.
