I'm not scared of the dark, I'm scared of what my mind conceives inside of it. Which is why I sprint to my room at light speed when coming upstairs late at night, no shadow monsters are gonna eat my soul tonight!

I am. I use a night light and keep a flashlight by my bed in case of power outage

I am very afraid of the dark :P i am into ghosts and extra terrestrial life forms so i am afraid they will come and grab me.
i usually put my desk-light on and trow a towel over it to make it less strong.
i am searching for a cool lava lamp.

i also always listen to Chopin in bed and Chopin's pieces are very dramatic so not the right choice for bedtime.

It depends on where I am. If I'm in a room like a bathroom, with lots of faucets, and drains, I'm terrififed. If I'm anywhere else, I'm fine.

I'm also afraid of the dark. I'm starting a collection of LED night lights and power bars to plug them all in.

Yeah... I tried classic music with my daughter, but that really do not help. Most classic music is too intense. It is not relaxing at all! That's why we switched to meditation music. It is very relaxing and good to sleep.

I am so scared of the dark that it exacerbates my psychotic symptoms.

I am scared of the dark. My boyfriend goes to bed later than me so I go to sleep with lights still on. If I wake up at night I am scared to go to the bathroom.

I was very happy to see this thread.
I am absolutely afraid of the dark. I have to have the bathroom light on at night. A nightlight is not enough. If my husband isn't home, I sleep sideways on the bed so that my back is to the wall. I sometimes feel like things are moving in the room or something is touching me. It's better when the dog is in there though.
