This is the story of my life. I find it hard to get started on something when I can't picture the steps or the outcome right off the bat. I can remember in school when we were instructed to do "free-writing" (where you write down whatever comes to your mind) I was the only one in the class who couldn't do it. Ugh! If I'm going to do something I always need some kind of a structure to follow. If I have no clue where to start and the thing is wide open ended I'm in trouble.

I also have a big problem answering the phone if I don't know who's calling. I have to mentally prepare for who I'm going to talk to before picking up the phone.

I have a SERIOUS problem with this if I am on the computer. The internet destroys my executive function. Everything else in my day I time though. I wake up at 11, eat breakfast at 12, start getting ready for work at 2:30, then leave for work at 3. It's all very planned out. I know at exact minutes when I need to put my shoes on, get my bag, get my key etc.

As far as things that I have to do are involved, I feel the need to take care of them straight away. If I don't I get anxious. I was the kid who- when I had 2 weeks to write a paper- finished writing it the day after it was assigned. However, in things that I WANT to do I procrastinate forever. I'm not sure why I am like this.

Isn't that a Japanese thing?
