Yes, having a sense of humor about things that cannot be changed is important. I've decided that by laughing or sardonically agreeing with a statement usually puts the spotlight back on the offender.

I didn't even know that kind of thing had a name, let alone its a persuasive technique! Many people fall for it, I should know. In reply to dexkaden; often I've remarked by agreeing with whoever's been hassling me at the time. Usually leaves the hassler with a less than stifactory result!

All I can say is, I just happen to one of those who was diagnosed with autism back in 1961 long before many professional in my country had ever even heard of Aspergers.

You can tell because the person did not even bother to research as to whom coined the phrase "Asperger's Disorder" (I will give you a hint, it was not Hans Asperger).
