But to be more realistic, I like cars. Preferably ones with a stick shift.

My main mode of transportation is my car. I guess that is what I like the best. But going on AmTrak was a lot of fun with our private sleeping room on the sleeper car. I thought it would have been neat to have traveled around the country on that train. Our trip lasted 12 or so hours and mainly through the night.

trains. i love feeling the swoosh of air as it pulls in at a tunnel and i like sitting on the bottom level, always do, and watch peoples feet and the floor rush past in a blur and swinging on the hand rails is fun. plus you can eat on them, unlike buses.

A bus. It's the only mode of transport I ever use.

Bicycle, even in the winter. I like doing cross country bike trips more than cars buses or planes. Just wish I could figure out how to bike the cat from town to town.

I also like trains, amtrack or freight. The steady rocking motion and the regular, rhythmic sounds are quite soothing. On Amtrack, you can get up and walk around, too, which is lovely.

Cars make me fall asleep, and I can't tolerate the air from the heater blowing on me. Makes me feel like I'm choking.

Airplanes make me feel trapped. I hate the lighting and the staleness of the air. It's a noxious flavor. Plus I don't like being crammed into a little box with so many people, and I don't like the changes in air pressure making my eardrums explode.

busses are usualy to much overstimulation for long periods of time, and i dont like taxis much because the drivers have little understanding of my autism, i prefer just car.. or taxi if there is only bus as another option.

When I was a child, I used to love bicycle rides. There was a road near our house that was fun to ride on. Several of us, along with our families, would ride on it. Today there is too much traffic on it to ride bicycles on it. In fact, almost all the roads around here are too busy to be safe. Two hours away from where I live is a town with a long bike path that is very popular with all age groups. But I have a bad leg now, and bike riding wouldn't favor it.

Of course, in varying situations one presents a more favourable option than the other but on balance

1. Car
2. Bike
3. Train
4. Walk
5. Bus
6. Aeroplane
7. Boat
8. Very Large Yoghurt Pot

My customized, suped-up electric scooter. Custom electronics and batteries make it go about 40 mph top speed, and 30 mph up relatively steep hills. Has a range of about 20 miles.

Image

I also have a bunch of LiPo batteries that go under the deck of the scooter, so that the large ugly battery you see in the picture doesn't have to be there leaving the entire deck free for standing.

That said, most of the time, I walk around for the much needed exercise and use the bus for longer distances. But, the scooter is definitely my favorite mode of transport.

Now I'd really like one of those for getting about on.
