I say "no" a lot, actually. There are lots of things I don't want to do and lots of places I don't want to go as well as lots of people (most of them actually) I don't want to talk to. So "no", is my frequent reaction. Although people who know me closely learned to stop asking.

No.
But then I got over caring about offending people in middle school.
That was a major turning point in my life.

I have a problem saying no I don't know why, I have gotten into trouble because of it. Now after a certain point I go from appearing like I'm agreeable to all of a sudden swearing and becoming offensive with no warning to the person, there's no inbetween which annoys people and myself.

Yes I have a lot of trouble saying no, and I've gotten into some really bad situations because of it. People have told me I am very agreeable, which kind of turns my stomach because I know that's a clue they are probably a bad person for me to be around. I have trouble even finding the right place in the conversation to say no. It is like someone keeps talking, or continues ahead doing something, and I am thinking "no no no!" but I can't figure out when or how I am supposed to say it. And I know there's a point where if you say it, it's too late and the other person will probably act really weird about it because they've already assumed a "yes". I end up just trying to escape the situation and/or avoid the person completely.

Sometimes people just do not give you the opportunity to say no. I mean they do not ask openly, do you want to (whatever)? They just imply and assume your participation in whatever is happening. And next thing I know, something is happening I didn't expect and it's hard to get out of it.

Sometimes I also experience this.

I'm with the people who find it hard to say no. At my workplace, it is really a problem. Basically, I let people go right over my head until I'm fed up with it and then act out of the norm and suffer its consequences...
