This question has been asked before. There should also have been the alternatives "My father is an aspie and my grandparents were aspies" and "My mother is an aspie and my grandparents are aspies".

My father and grand father are undiagnosed aspies. My mother and brother are NTs. My great grand father and/or great grand mother were aspies. My grandmother is probably an aspie. My grandfathers cousin is probably an aspie. My great grandfathers brother and his son are probably aspies.

My dad has some traits, not as "bad" as me though. My mom has a lot of OCD traits but is not AS. It's hard to call either of them strictly NT, though.

My son has it "worse" than me, so maybe it is intensifying generationally. :?:

Not necessarily, but it maybe comes out "worse" in boys.

hmmm...let's see...let me count the engineers in the immediate branches of the tree: grandfather, father, uncle, nephew...and number of 'odd', OCD, eccentric, obsessive, officially dx ASD females: mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, cousin, aunt. To start with. Don't let's go near siblings and children...

I'd say it's a pretty surefire bet that it's a genetic gift

I´m thinking maybe we can conclude that all aspieness is hereditary and those aspies who answered their parents and grandparents are NTs were being deceived, after all nobody has an NT diagnosis.

If so, it would be interesting to know if we can trace our roots back in time with the mitochondrial DNA and find the original aspie. Then we go back and kill him, hehehe... OK I need to go sleep now. good night.

My biological mother probably is an Aspie. They suspected a lot of mental health problems with her but crucially enough, they said my "behavioural and communication difficulties", which we now know is AS, were congenital.

About my biological father I don't know. And I'm adopted to parents who are definitely not Aspies.

I believe my great-grandfather, Adolph Milata, may have been aspie, but I never met him. I think he died in the 1960s. My mother is also bipolar, and my aunt may be a little bit aspie.
