Although I was raised to see this as white, I'm not white. I'm a kind of pinkish beige. I've seen ONE white person and he scared me. He was an albino who went to the public school.

In the summer I am a golden olive color, but in the winter a pinkish beige with more beige as the years go by.

The "black" people I know, most of them are not black. medium to dark brown usually. Some purplish black color of those from Africa, and some "redbone" black who are lighter and more reddish color, and even some "high yellow" black people who are lighter than I am in the summer.

So, white and black is kinda subjective and not really accurate. I live in a state that used to say "one drop of colored blood and you are not white". Considering that all blood is red and that's a color, so therefore NOBODY is white, plus nobody is white anyway except albinos. That used to be in the state constitution here. However, white people are not white! If so they are either albinos or they are ghosts!

Although to make it easier, if somebody asks, I am white.

Of course there is the acting of either white or black, down here. That means to do with accent, sentence structure somewhat, clothes and music choices. If you consider the "acting" part of a culture I know many black people who are whiter than many white people I know, and many white people who are blacker than black people I know. The bottom line to most of us here though, is we have one common bond. We are Southern. We will abide whites acting black and blacks acting white, and whatever albinos might act, and treat any foreign peoples here as we woud our own. We tend to have one common enemy. The Northerner who comes down here to try and change our speech or how we act. It's NOT like the old Jim Crow days, God forbid that! Interracial couples are common, gay couples are common, we aren't like we were then! The Confederate flag is embraced by most Southerners where I live, as a symbol of a slower, more relaxed and genteel and courtious way of life. It's not seen as the oppressive battle flag of the segregationalists of the old George Wallace era, nor his co- governor Lurleen. She only ran cause he couldn't be elected again, and he was the governer, she was just the person who got her picture taken.

Anyway, fade out "Sweet Home Alabama" now lol.

Folks are folks, no matter what color, or race, and all of us on the spectrum come from different people. It's not a racial thing. If so, I imagine that would have already been pinpointed like that one ailment in kids.

So are we supposed to obtain a DNA analysis before answering your question?

I doubt that anyone knows their genetic heritage any further back than a few generations.

10,000 years ago (7989 B.C.E. / 2012 H.E) would be about 500 generations, if 1 generation is considered equal to 20 years.

You don't need a DNA test. You can tell just by looking at your 4 grandparents.

You get a lot of variation within the designated racial groups which confuses matter even more.

I'm pretty sure the larger part of my lineage is Celtic, Perhaps some slavic, intermingled on mothers side. And definately Hispanic on my fathers side.

I vaguely remember reading somewhere that there is a higher rate among caucasians, but i'm not sure what that encompassed.

My brother used to tell me I was found under a rock. I was adopted and he was often a bully to me so I wonder if he meant that to be mean. I don't even know what nationality my biogical parents are.

It will be an interesting study though. My dad is Indian and is the most likely with AS.
It also depends on how much awareness a country has.

You're generalising. You might want to mind that being in a such a diverse forum. I've known white people with more Aboriginal in them than European.
You'd look at me and think I'm Hispanic and you'd be wrong.

The majority of my ancestry is English, but I do have some (in order from most to least) Danish, Swedish, and German ancestry. Going farther back, my English ancestry is mixture of Norman and Anglo-Saxon and stuff, it so happens that I am a direct descendant of Edward the Confessor and William the Conqueror.

My dad's parents were white.
Never knew my mom's biological parents (she's adopted)
but she's very Caucasian-looking.

I have friends who are Lebonese and Syrian they are all caucasion looking with sandy brown hair and blue eyes. Looks mean nothing genetically speaking. My friend Jesse is Puerto Rican and is very latin looking with extremely curly hair. His ex-wife is very latin looking. They had three daughters who are very "white" looking because Jesse's grandfather was white while everyone else on both sides of the family were latin.

On my dad's side of the family "asian features" seem to pop up a lot in my cousins. It seems our Native American ancestory makes a guest appearance in our genetics frequently.

this is a really interesting question but i think it would be difficult to get an answer for it on these boards for the simple reason that this board gets traffic from predominantly western nations with a predominantly "white"(can you consider white a race? maybe caucasian?) population and you have to look at the class or people of other races in western countries and the awareness of autism in countries dominated by people who are not white because that will affect their likelihood of getting a Dx or the likelihood of hearing about this site. i put middle eastern/nth african by the way. my ethnicity is lebanese more specifically.

Yup. And everyone on this website speaks English and has access to internet. So is mostly English speaking, developed countries.
