I also experience cold hands and feet. I sleep with socks on and a hot water bottle.

When I'm out in cold, windy weather, I have a hard time getting warm. it's like I'm cold into the bones, and I don't become really warm untill I get into bed with my hot water bottle.

I also get cold around my ancles and wrists. I just got home an hour ago and I'm still cold.

Doing tai chi helps me.

I have thick Norwegian socks sometimes when I sleep (you probably know what they look like, Corcovado) and I used to have a hot water bottle in bed when I was younger. I sleep in pyjamas and has one or two thick blankets over me.

I got two dogs and a cat to keep me warm. Though only one dog will get under the blanket.

I heard poodles are hypoallergic? The dog that sleeps under the blanket is a poodle.

Also they genetically engineered a hypoallergic cat. Or you could get a hairless cat.

Studies show if a kid is exposed to two animals while young 6 months or so he will be
less likely to get allergies

my hands/feet do get cold all the time. not too bad though. if you look at (say) your findernails and see lil purple cresents at the base of the nail, that means your circulation is REALLY BAD.

Hmm when I took too much thyroid medication in the past I felt hot. I wonder if
you might have hyperthroidism?[/quote]

I have been diagnosed with mild hypothyroidism which is what I thought my problem with cold stemmed from. The good old UK NHS does not do anything about the condition and they know nothing about AS except where it relates to the Rain Man, so I doubt I will ever find out which is my problem.

Well I would shiver from cold if I drank a tall glass of cold liquid before i got on thyroid
meds.

I think cold hands/feet/etc is related to blood flow.

Yup, my extremities generally feel rather cold. When they warm up, I start to worry :?

My circulation is poor, always has been regardless of weight or activity level. I have chronic low blood pressure although these days it's more normal. My extremities get cold if I'm on the phone or sitting too much at the computer. My feet stay cold in bed for a long time, even it's warm. (I live in a warm climate).
When I was young I wore socks year round (in 100+ degree weather too). and blankets at night.
Now, I'm not so bad, just when I'm nervous.

My son and husband are the opposite. In fact, my husband is prone to fevers with no other symptoms. They are like coal warmers.

I get the cold hands/feet and nose. It stays that way a lot and is very uncomfortable. I also need lots more covers to sleep under than most people I know. If I'm not very warm, I can't sleep. It makes my head hurt, too.

My hands and feet are always ice cold unless it is downright hot outside. Often in winter the only way I can warm them is to soak my whole body in a very hot bath. Wearing socks doesn't help because then I just make the socks cold.

When I was a kid I used to sit on the bathroom counter with my feet in the sink running hot water over them.

My lower legs are always cold at room temperature, it's very irritating.
