Speaking of 111's, here's a little number thing that's cool. If you take the last 2 digits of the year of your birth and add it to your present age, you will always get 111.

my son:98+13=111
my mother: 23+88=111
my sister: 56+55=111
my brother: 59+52=111

So happy there are other numerologistst out there!! haha this is AWESOME!! ! <33

OH and I remembered something else!! I see patterns in FOOD!! ! I see faces/animal shapes or even states in food....i should post some of the pics I've taken...

There is a flaw in it based on when your birthday is... if your birthday has already come in the present year then the sum would be 112...

but at this point of the year assuming an even distribution of birthdays (which I am sure is not the case) only 4.4% of the population would have crossed this threshold for this year

Funny thing. I will be 55 this year and I indeed got 112. But if you put your present age it works. It would seem like adding the age you will be this year and the last 2 digits of your birth year would be more logical.

Sorry infinitenull, I didn't read your comment closely enough and repeated what you said.

A clear way to calculate could be:

The sum of your age as of the first millisecond of the year and the year minus 1900 years =111 unless you were born less than 1 millisecond of the new year that you were born. (which the probability would be significantly low enough to be like "meh, doesnt matter" lol)

It's much the same for me. I'm always noticing patterns & geometry in the world. I take a lot of photos of these patterns. I'm also a counter and count things all the time, noticing patterns there too. I've been into sacred geometry for many years. Fascinating, all these patterns.

Except for people who have already had their birthday this year. For instance, someone born on January 3 1998 would be 14, and 98 + 14 = 112.

It's just subtraction. The current year minus 1900 is equivalent to the number of years between 1900 and the year that you were born plus the number of years after you were born. For 2011 it would always equal 111, for 2012 it will always equal 2012, for 2013 it will always equal 113, et cetera.

If someone were to say that if you take the last four digits of your birth year and add your current age you will always get the last four digits of the current year(or the previous year if you haven't had your birthday yet this year) it seems less interesting.

Oh. Well thanks for taking all the magic out of it.

:p sorry I get 112 too. I'm an Aquarius.

I sometimes can do calculus in my head... not addition... not multiplication... not algebra... just calculus.

When I was in high school Algebra 1 we were doing factoring problems. Well, my math teacher just up and starts making up a bunch and putting them on the board one-by-one for us all to do. Despite the fact that he erased the old problem before writing the next, I must have subconsciously recognized the pattern, because I knew what he was going to write ont he board before he did it.

Now... I am a bit of an idiot, because I just went ahead and turned to my classmate and said "Psst! Annie! Look! I'm psychic!" and wrote the next three problems on her notebook for her. When Annie asked the teacher where he was getting the problems from he said "Nowhere, I'm just making them up as I go along."

Annie never really did talk to me again after that...
Someone jokingly (I think) told me that she was afraid I'd eat her soul.

I am somewhat similar, except that my center of math is algebra... I actually think and learn in algebra...

When I can assign variables to each side of an equation then I know that topic completely. Until I can find a way to internalize it in that way I typically just go along assuming that eventually I'll figure that part out (really useful coping mechanism, not freaking out when I don't understand trusting that eventually I will)

All math that I know can be broke down into the way my brain assigns fills and understands variables and formulas... it's one of the reasons that I fumble with the concepts of calculus yet statistics I can hypothesize in my mind with ease.

mmmmmmm abstract makes me feel good and comfortable inside...

Not to Hijack the Hijacked thread, lol, but, @the OP:
Try reading up about Fractal Geometry. Heck, just google it and look at the pretty pictures. But some reading into the subject might give you some serious food for thought about Patterns, Promise!

I see patterns in History....ever since i was maybe 12 or so I have been obsessed with History, classical studies, etc......so by the time i entered junior year of High School I was reading obscure historical textbooks on the college level or from book stores..I don't know if its so much as Patterns than actual Variables that can happen when it comes to History....their are multiple options Nations/Empires/Civilizations choose to go or have chosen to go and than you need to study the impact of trade, population migration, economic internal activity, technological sophistication, military strength...and last but certainly not least the rise/fall of surrounding Nations and how their rise/fall impacts the country under scrutiny.

Except if you're older than 111.

Darn! Someone got the jump on me! I was going to bring up fractals, too.
Since learning about ( & getting mildly obsessed) in the early 1990s I see those things everywhere. Also, things from the Mandelbrot set as well.
Used to play with them on some of my old PCs but weird things happened after awhile. Almost acted like PC viruses. :D

Sincerely,
Matt

With me its almost never numbers it's always certain shapes and how symmetrical they are :) also I cant stop noticing if a sentence is filled with words with Latinate or Germanic origins :/ i guess that's not exactly normal ^^
