my brother communicates through music. The songs that matter the most to him at the moment reflect his current experience. Most the time, he just posts music videos on facebook.
Are you like that??

I'm working on a music video now (my first vid). I usually write funny / quirky lyric songs (I've been told I have a "unique" sense of humor). But the latest one is kinda personal and not really funny which is why it's taking me forever.

That's so cool your brother does that. What a great idea.
Does he play instruments? Has he ever posted his music in this forum? (because I'd really like to hear it if it's not too personal).

I play a little acoustic guitar, but I'm addicted to "Garage Band" (mac software); these days, it's possible to write/record songs without knowing how to play an instrument.

He is a good singer, thats about it. He is also a type A personality NT, so he doesnt use wromgplanet. But he loves everything about cars and most of his life has been either fixing them, buying them, towing them, selling parts for them, or driving them across country.
However there in another side of my brother most people dont see...he can fully explain Einstien's theory of relativity while cleaning the dirt from his nails with a pocket knife. 8O
He is also very sensitive and soulful and loves many kinds of music. If I am in the big disiel truck of his which I about need a step stool to get into, he will have some song on his droid hooked to his speakers...usually that song is what he wants to say to me.
He doesnt produce his own music, becides perfectly pitched parodies, but he supports local musicians the best he can.
People in 5 counties know my brother...I am just known as his autistic sister.

Jojo, you're not your brother's autistic sister, you're you.
I read above, you're an artist and a poet. Do you have poems and/or art online that you would share?

What you wrote about the cheerleader transsexuals and your dad turning white = *lol*

I will pm you some of my poetry as I am trying to get published...if I post them in an open forum, then the publishers will say I already published them and they want first publishing and will not take work that has been previously "published".

ya my dad was a bit homophobic....I remember when my sister and dolled up my brother like a girl (he is the baby of the family, you would never guess it now.) and my dad nutted up like a fruitcake.

Yay  I've long defined myself as a scientific naturalist, so this fits like a glove. And I'm in great company too, seeing that the test result mentions three of my role models (Darwin, da Vinci and Jane Goodall).

I strongly and vehemently disagree with the bolded part though:

Quote:
Careers which suit Naturalist thinkers include
Biologist, Meteorologist, Forester, Farmer, Astronomer, Alternative therapist

Most alternative therapists are all but naturalists. Naturalism is a world view / philosophy without supernatural or magical elements, or anything else that defies logic and reason. Quackery such as homeopathy denies the very laws of nature and has therefore no place in naturalism.

Herbs and other plants have healed people for thousands of years. Why would they do any worse now?

<-- Has taken many natural remedies instead of chemicals to heal himself.

Nothing against herbal remedies, as long as their medical properties have been proven in controlled studies. I take hypericum / St. John's wort for depression, fennel tea for my digestion, and supplement my Crohn's medication with anti-inflammatory camomile tea and frankincense extract. (Btw, these herbal drugs are chemical. Everything is made of chemicals).

But that is not what people typically mean when they talk about alternative medicine, which includes unscientific nonsense such as reflexology, healing crystals, reiki, aura healing, magnet therapy, and of course homeopathy. Unlike herbal drugs, these treatments have no scientific basis whatsoever.

It is important to understand that homeopathy is not herbal medicine. It is bogus. The active ingredient, which is often toxic to humans, is diluted to the point that homeopathic remedies are nothing but water (or sugar pills with a drop of water, in case of globuli). Which is a good thing in a way, because otherwise homeopaths would often end up poisoning their patients. At least water doesn't kill people, but it doesn't heal them either.

The homeopathic principle teaches "like heals like", i.e. a poison like belladonna can supposedly cure the very symptoms it produces, which is of course complete nonsense. In addition, homeopaths believe that the more you dilute a substance with water, the stronger its effect. Which is also illogical. If you give a single drop of vodka in a glass of water, you don't get a stronger drink than pure vodka. Selling remedies that consist to 99.9% of water and have no medical properties whatsoever is simply fraud and has nothing to do with herbalism.

Fair enough, on both the herbs and the chemicals.

I wonder, have you ever tried reiki? I was extremely sceptical about it up until I tried it. I was having a VERY hard time with some muscles in my legs (prone to very painful cramps), and my aunt offered to try and help. It seems like a load of mystical mumbo jumbo, but I didn't have another leg cramp for a good three weeks.

The Renaissance ideal:

The leading thinkers of the Renaissance were not just experts in their own field. The renaissance scholar was expected to master all branches of knowledge.

With his insatiable desire to know everything, Leonardo da Vinci is often held up as the ideal Renaissance man.

I think my life is a disaster because I was involved in all other kinds of careers but naturalistic ones mentioned here. Maybe I need to start again. All these careers were once on my mind while growing up but my career has largely been based on Technology.

I got spatial thinker, too.

Yet another spatial thinker.
Doesn't surprise me one bit.

Second place: Musical Thinker

Just what I expected.

Maybe I did make the right choice in getting a biology degree. But, notions of any career in the field went pear-shaped, almost half of my life ago.

You are a Logical-Mathematical Thinker
Logical-Mathematical thinkers:
Like to understand patterns and relationships between objects or actions
Try to understand the world in terms of causes and effects
Are good at thinking critically, and solving problems creatively
Like Logical-Mathematical thinkers, Leonardo based his theories on evidence rather than speculation. Other Logical-Mathematical Thinkers include
Isaac Newton, Archimedes, Albert Einstein

Careers which suit Logical-Mathematical thinkers include
Physicist, Chemist, Biologist, Lawyer, Computer programmer, Engineer, Inventor

You are an Intrapersonal thinker
Intrapersonal thinkers:
Spend a lot of time thinking about and trying to understand themselves
Reflect on their thoughts and moods, and work to improve them
You understand how your behaviour affects your relationships with others
Like intrapersonal thinkers, Leonardo worked hard to improve all aspects of himself. Other Intrapersonal thinkers include
Sigmund Freud, Gandhi, Grahame Greene

Careers which suit Intrapersonal Thinkers include
Psychologist, Teacher, Pilot, Child care worker, Explorer, Drama therapist
