I can relate. I crossed the street to avoid random people just today! It's so weird, because sometimes I surprise myself. Like some guy struck up a brief, casual conversation with me while I was waiting in line at Burger King today. I took it fine and chatted back. I guess it just depends on the mood/environment. I can feel quite uncomfortable if I'm sharing a place with others and often stay in my room most the time.
