$20, for one trip!
I could get a cab for that price.

Here buses cost $2 for 3 trips with a transfer (equivalent of 2-3 hours)

True dat. I also like being able to come and go whenever I want, at any whim. I'm very impatient.

Going off-topic for a moment: I nominate wiggerbeater for Best Name of the Year.

Back on-topic: I liked Greyhound. Cheap tickets, clean and comfortable terminals and buses, and I even saw a few Amish folk. What more could you ask?

Hey take a few trips halfway across the country from Texas to Florida and you might
decide your not crazy about buses or travel for that matter. I've done it atleast 3 times.

I've gone Amtrak across the country and back, it's fun. And Amish people travel by train too! I like the train crowd better than the bus crowd and the plane crowd. Much friendlier.

The flaw in your logic: Werbert does not like to travel in the first place.

So there.

Yep. I prefer my own car. I just like doing things on my own, and on my own terms. I don't have a car at the moment. I'm sad :-(
Because I hate the bus!
The transit system is terrible here. I have done some traveling and I must say that visiting other places and using their bus system just further emphasises how sh***y the bus system here is.

No bus can be as hellish as the London Underground! I haven't been on it for about 4 years now. I just plain refuse!

I like trains but find buses rather frustrating and bumpy, especially on short journeys. All that
stopping and starting and the driver taking fares before the bus moves off.
I can drive but I don't really enjoy it and prefer the train if it's a viable alternative.
I like to sit and read, sleep or stare out the window. On a train that is,not while driving.

My husband takes the bus between NYC and Pihladelphia each week, I don't know how he does it. Amtrak is 5 times more expensive and the bus is cheaper than gas and tolls.

He says that people who take the bus are a different species, somewhere below human (this excludes him, I guess).

I like travelling, when I'm the driver. Not else. I would love to have a license to fly a Cessna, but they're expensive. I could probably afford the license but never my own plane.

When my family went to Venezuela last year we flew from Frankfurt, Germany, to Carraccas. Now, that was a hard trip. 12 hours sitting in a plane...

I particularly loathe the London bendy buses, they are cattle trucks.

Jeez yes! I've been to London quite a few times and the underground completely freaks me out! It's like chaotic hell...I'd rather walk or get a normal bus.

I miss travelling by bus; now there is one less opportunity to find someone special. I just drive straight to work then home again. And I cannot afford to travel by public transport and keep a car. What is a man suppose to do.
