One thing that comforts me is to listen to The Kinks. Those songs are the happiest memories that I have from a strange childhood.

Another thing that I do is sleep with a teddy bear.

I also like to go on WP. I like to reach out to my fellow members and help them to feel welcome, while having fun at the same time.

It also comforts me to watch The Olympics when they're on and especially in the summertime, because that also brings back pleasant memories from a mixed childhood.

Dogs. The strength of my anxiety is inversely proportional to the number of puppies in the room.

Hi fragileclover.

Sorry for the fact that I'm off topic now but I have been a bit hard against undiagnosed people with aspergers on this forum and I would like to offer you my apologies.

Oh, I had not noticed, so no need to apologize. Thank you for the gesture, though.

Being on this forum has taught me a lot about myself, and led me to seek an official diagnosis (which I'm undergoing now). I think it's an invaluable tool for those diagnosed and undiagnosed. If for nothing else, it provides a real sense of 'belonging' and self-understanding.

Write a thread to keep us posted!! !! !! :D :D :D :D :D

I have my War Machine and Iron Man hot toys figures they are my comforter and my Iron Man comforter which is an actual comforter from America. These go everywhere with me and help me stay calm in such situations.

I chill out with animals, that usually helps.
Other times I lock myself in my room and put something kind of weighty on top of me, like a bunch of pillows or something. Sometimes I'll squish myself between something... like between a furniture and the wall.

I used to do things to comfort myself like you, but then I took an arrow to the knee.
