Balance it out with stims and you might just get anxiety back as a side effect.

Panic attacks are not good though. They can really affect your health and anxiety messes with your thinking.

The lack of motivation could be a med side effect. On SSRI's I became less obsessive, less dependent on a routine.

I thought Zoloft was for depression, not anxiety...I mean I have heard anti-depressants can sometimes help anxiety, but that is not their typical use. I would talk to the doctor about getting off of it if you don't like how it makes you feel. But if you don't go that route or want to do something about it before then you can slowly quit taking them though I am not sure quite what is recommended for that one...but there may be more info on that if you look up more info on zoloft.

But typically just gradually reducing the amount is what happens, because depending on how long your on a drug and what drug it is...its possible if you just quit all the sudden you could get dangerous withdrawl symptoms......as your body/brain can get dependent on it and thus depriving it all the sudden can have some either unpleasant or dangerous effects. So that is why its recommended you quit with the guidance of the doctor.

Totally. I would really like to quit drugs altogether; I never intended to be drugged my whole life (though I am not opposed to the idea for others, but I feel as though I can survive quite well without them), they were just supposed to be a patch job until I finished therapy.

Well even I have not found a way to quit drugs all together I mean nothing else seems to help the constant back pain/tension due to the bones in the lower part of my spine being too close together(I don't know any technical terms for that).....or the symptoms of PTSD, Anxiety and Depression.....But yeah I won't take something if I don't like what it does which is what happened with prozac I just immediatly quit and threw the rest away but I had only taken them 3 and a half weeks, the longer you take anti-depressants the more dangerous it is to quit them all the sudden from my understanding.

But yeah if you can find things other than drugs that help that would be good, if not at least don't be taking one that has such negative side effects.

Interesting. I think that just by virtue of thinking about it, I got some anxiety today; it helped me get up and focus in my first period class. My only stims are facial tics, so stimming is really not an option (I would have to explain my condition to my classmates, who think that I am completely normal). I have had the same reaction to SSRIs.
