I don't love animals.....I even fear some. But it's not that I actively don't like them. I find them unpredictable most of the time. I can see why you would like them or even prefer them over people but that's not a given for me since I'm too anxious and defensive until I'm proven that there's no reason to be like that in certain occasions. I've studied zoology and especially, anatomy-zoology. Nonetheless, this only proofed to me that liking or learning about animals is not for me.

I am the other way around. Most Humans(animals) I don't love. I even fear some. But it's not that I actively don't like them. I find them unpredictable most of the time, because they fear things they don't understand. Because they attack who I am as a person & don't make me feel welcome, they even reinforce what they don't want to see. Value they needs more than others & demand you to be like them. Since I'm too anxious and defensive until I'm proven that there's no reason to be like that once I evaluate they intentions.

& I just been at a place I was volunteering at, started talking about a girl, as an example of what they don't want around.

I can't relate. I adore animals, and am incredibly sensitive to their suffering. When my boyfriend and I started dating, we were sitting outside, and he flicked an ant off of his leg, after which, he joked that the ant's family would probably be looking for it. I burst into tears.

I'm sometimes called an animal 'whisperer.' My boyfriend's family has two cats, one that they all seem to like, and another that they all seem to dislike, because she is stand-offish and 'mean'. However, when I started hanging out there, she would come into my boyfriend's room and hop on the bed to hang out with me, and now she follows me around the house, sleeps next to me and generally keeps me company.

However, animals CAN annoy me at times, because I have a difficult time suspending my own activities and shifting my attention to their needs. If I'm watching a show and my dog is obviously in need of going outside, I feel irritated. I would never treat and animal badly, though.

Its hard for me to understand people who relate more to animals then to human beings. Those type of people do seem to be very common though.

I relate more to animals. Maybe it's because animals are more honest and nonjudgmental? I've been treated badly by people but in general animals are either nice to you or are scared and run away.

Don't you just love a cat purring or a dog approaching you to be cuddled? Now imagine the same behavior from a human. We don't really know how a savage human would behave, but the ones who are educated ever since they're born have motivations in their actions. At least most of them do. So that affective behavior may mean the individual wants money or has any other interest. Animals won't develop that, unless they're hungry =). Furthermore they're cute :D

Depends on the animal [and person].

I'm a fan of protective and loyal canines, but not all are like that, for example.

I dont love animals, I dont relate to them at all, I dont like being around animals I dont know. They are unpredictable, I cant communicate with them and I dont know how to interact with them.

I was never crazy over animals like autistic people are. I like them to a point where I want one but I don't need one to live and I am not up for caring for other animals. Only things I am interested in having is a cat or a dog, nothing else.

I wouldn't say I'm fond of animals, but I do like cats. Can't stand dogs.

I love all animals (more than people) except for the small dogs. I find small dogs to be high strung and rage inducing to me.

I know a lot of NTs who are animal-lovers. An animal-lover can still be sociable with people.

I'm the same way. I like dogs and cats and at first the idea of having one sounds great, but then I remember how much I struggle just to take care of myself. If I had to take care of another creature I think I might be overwhelmed.

I don't particularly like most animals. I don't mind cats but I certainly wouldn't want one of my own.

I don't particularly love animals either. There are some I really like, but I'm not obsessive. I tend to feel like they're more work than anything else. And the slobber and shedding and fleas and etc. is irritating. Though I love pictures of little owls or playing with kittens and such as much as the next person. I've never understood what all the fuss was about over cats and dogs. They actually annoy me quite a bit. So does the obsessiveness of others over them. (No offense to anyone!) And I don't get the stereotypical-ness; like why is nearly everyone either a cat or dog person? Seems a bit unimaginative... I'm a chicken and Fennec fox person... why am I the only one? Ok done ranting now. XD I'm sorry if this seemed totally mean or anything. ^_^"

I don't like cats. I'm afraid of them. I was scratched when I was young and it has scarred me for life. I love German Shepherds. I also don't like dirty pets. They have to be clean.

I don't see much distinction between humans and animals. Both of them can be loving, or cruel, fascinating, or annoying, calm, or violent, manipulative, or loyal. Humans are just more powerful.
