I agree with Elfman...I don't really like Nascar, but if they are willing to support Autism research, than YAY for them!! :D

Why NASCAR?

NASCAR sucks who the hell wants to watch a bunch stock cars go around in circles for hours besides a bunch of rednecks, and someone on the spectrum who loves cars?

I think they should have teamed up with the NFL since it would have helped raise more awareness, and besides Doug Flootie and Dan Marino both have children on the spectrum.

My two cents

Justin

ok, I love stock car racing and I'm not a redneck, in fact, I race stock cars to make money, it is the number one sport in America.

I am not surprised at the success ASA has in linking with racecar drivers. The sport is full of autie-types. Two of my cousins have some traits and married stunt drivers for Joey Chitwood, one of the originals.
My hometown, Islip NY, had a race track and one of the first weekly demolition derbys which was like going to church for me!

Jerry, this is an interesting revelation for me, as my aspie obsessions are Porsches and racing. I'm from Los Angeles, I build Porsche engines in my spare time, (as well as just about any other kind of engine) I drive a 911SC at Willow Springs and do a little competitve dring. I also know another aspie who is a master Porsche 914 race car builder.

Just for fun, any interesting parallels between my name (914-6) and 7/27/78?

If that is an innapropriate question, I am sorry, however i saw some of your other posts where you had done this. Feel free to use some of my skills if you ever have car trouble..
