When I was younger I felt older than my age. I found my most of the things that kids my own age did childish and nonsensical and I preferred to stay in my room reading 'grown-up' books. When I got to about 16 my development ground to a halt, and everyone else carried on, eventually overtaking me. Now I feel quite a bit younger than other people my age. I'm told I look a bit younger as well.

Pretty much, that's what people say about me. I feel like I should be 30 or 40 also, at 21. Some people even guessed my age as 30, too, at age 20. Cuz I'm that boring and grumpy.

Real age-38
Emotional age- either 10 because of special interests, or 50 because of general loathing of teenagers and liking of seniors. :)
Sexual age-newborn
Physical age(the only one that supposedly matters)-70 :(

I feel and look like a 16 year old, and my sex drive is just now starting to mildly kick in.

Yeah, I get that a lot, too. I feel like I'm in my thirties or forties and I'm only nineteen. I rarely get along with people my age and all of my best friends in high school were my teachers. Now that I'm in college, two of my closest friends are 25 and 34, and another one is almost old enough to be my grandma. I just understand older people better and since they have more maturity I hardly ever get teased anymore for my issues with eye contact, fidgeting, etc.

I'm going to be 17 this Thursday, and I am still feeling like a 12 year old. When I was that age, I remember feeling older. So, I think I've never really grown up. It doesn't mean that I'm stuck in that age but that my mind was so different... It's kind of hard to explain. Emotionally I'm 12 .
Logically I'm 48 .

I was told that was when I was a child that I often acted older than I was. But I liked to play with toys like the other kids did. Today, at 47, I still feel (mentally) like I am in my 20s.

I'm 50, exercise a lot and feel like I am late 30s early 40s.

The divergence gets much bigger with each passing decade.

When I look around at people my age they look and act much older, many appear to have 1 foot in the grave!

It's hard to relate to them, but that is probably also related to my social impairment.

I actually 'feel' quite immature around people my own age - fortunately I don't spend much time around them

45 going on 17  . I still feel 17, and do the stuff I did then, and I'd say the only difference is that at 45, I have good business sense and am a responsible adult, which I wasn't at 17.

Same here. Thought I would change as I got older, but it doesn't seem to be happening yet at 22 years old.

Funny that I think and act like a person much older than is typical of my age, as well as prefer the company of people much older than myself, and yet I'm emotionally hardly a teen.

I'm 25, but with the way I talk and act people think I'm 17-18.
I feel much younger too, mentally. I still feel like a teen some days, others, maybe 20.
I have to remind myself every day to "Act like an adult, be an adult, you're going to be 30 in 5 years".

I feel pretty immature compared to people my age socially and romantically, but in other ways I sometimes feel older. For example, I feel immature because I don't go to parties or get into any kind of trouble like many people my age do, but then I feel more mature because I find that stuff foolish like many older people do. Usually I feel younger, though.

So, I'm 18, but I usually feel and act about 14 or 15. And most of my close friends are ages 14-16. But much of the time even they are more socially capable than I am (have boyfriends, jobs, etc.).
