However I have had the experience of time seeming to slow down considerably in an emergency, for instance as an accident occurred or when I was falling. It's a strange, disorienting thing, and though I think it's still the sort of thing I mentioned earlier rather than what you're talking about, it's fascinating to me.

The "in emergency" phenomena being at a increased level I can also relate to. Giving a sense of keeping calm during extreme situations althou being perceived by others as in heavy activity. I will often in these kind of situations also experience reductions in object speeds and such. This may possibly be very related but with the difference being that this is at least at some level experienced by everybody.

The question then becomes; Are these phenomena real or just imaginary?

When people asks you, "How did you do that?" or "What just happened?".
What did happen? Did your little bubble of time just speed up and while you packed your groceries into the bag at normal speed there where actually a difference in perception of time between the different individuals involved?

I sometimes had that experience when I was a child and through my teenage years. It was very unsettling when time seemed to go by twice as fast as normal. My own actions during this time were at normal speed (objectively speaking), but they felt very fast. I remember trying to explain it once to my parents and they did not understand so I just kept it to myself. Often the only way to break out of the messed up time persception was to take a nap and it reset to normal.

I also had visual difficulties where objects seemed to alternate between close and far away. I have not had these experiences in many years, but it was very memorable.

My days sometimes feel long, but the months and years go by very quickly. It's already June! It kind of feels like the year just started!
