Speak and move slow (plus I'm a large person). That can make the appearance of such.

Didn't do well in high school, so peers [and teachers] put that (slow) on me.

"slow" as in deliberate - yes (often)
Generally "genius" otherwise

Never had that problem in school only when I started working did it seem a problem.
I walk fast,act fast and learn things faster than my peers.
The real problem is when I am asked to do something physical at a high rate of speed.
For example ringing products at a register over 25 items a minute which is my fastest pace while my peers can easily top that.
The other problem is if I am asked to do more than one thing at a time which I couldn't do to save my life!
When I have tried to push my pace too far I would describe it as a computer slowly crashing! My mind and body get totally out of sync usually resulting in a panic attack.
