I don't watch many sitcoms these days because they're mostly about sex and have no real content. When I was younger, though, I watched quite a few. My all-time favorite is still Sanford & Son.

I don't like fiction or sitcoms...and don't like to rewatch shows unless they are really, really funny. (even then it is rare to watch the same movie again)

I find sitcoms dreadfully boring for some reason....i prefer documentaries - filming the actual people, not actors. People living their actual lives, not endless history or childhood stuff.

edit: I do enjoy a lot of movies, so fiction is ok in that medium, but i read mostly non-fiction

Yes, if the show doesn't suck.

I love Sanford & Son too, man that was a great show. Shows like that had a message. I can't stand the current sitcoms, they seems so pointless. I don't know if you've seen Redd Foxx perform stand-up. He was a brilliant, and dirty, stand-up comic.

Yeah, the original.

I like british sitcoms like Spaced, Black Books or Blackader. I can't stand most of the american ones however. They're annoying - generally the characters presented as being "wacky" or anything like that tend to be either more down to earth then most of the people I get along with or to far fetched.

I detest sitcoms. The only thing even close that I watch is "its always sunny in philadelphia". If thats a sitcom, then that is the only one I watch.

Pretty much the only tv shows I watch are the hour long hbo/showtime/fx/etc variety like true blood, dexter, walking dead etc..

I forgot to mention that I like Fawlty Towers, too - my mom introduced me to it a couple of years ago and I thought it was hilarious.

Most sit-coms are idiotic. But there are a few that I like: Frasier.... Big Bang Theory..... about 3 episodes of Friends... and even though this isn't a sit-com, I love the "Whose Line is it Anyway" show.

I used to find sitcoms really annoying, but I very recently got into them because I can increasingly identify with the characters and the situations they get into. I always end up having favourite characters, tend to see aspects of myself in some characters, and they grow on you, like a family. The Office and Extras are my favourites, though my boyfriend has really gotten me into How I Met Your Mother, and we watch it together. He's also recently gotten me into Summer Heights High and Eastbound and Down.

I did when there used to be GOOD sit-coms on. However, TV has really slid downhill over the last decade or two. You do not find stuff like Newhart or MASH or Murhpy Brown anymore. I have not seen a decent Sit-com since Frasier ended. (maybe I am just getting too old but I do not think so!)
