Emotional regulation is my greatest AS challenge. So I have two choices when I get angry...rage or cry. Usually if I'm truly angry I will rage but I find when I am more frutrated than angry, I cry.

I think it is normal for Aspies to feel very deeply---maybe we feel anger and frustration more deeply that NT's. Kaelyn, when you have so many things going wrong in your life in a short period of time---it's only natural that it would make you mad, frustrated, and cry.

I'm been so angry I've cried for hours. I'm used to it nowadays, I think it's common to feel this way, especially during stressful phases of life like school :)

I also cry when I get very mad. I have a very hard time expressing my feelings when I get very angry, so I start to cry. I've been a very sensitive person my entire life.

I don't usually get mad or anything (I'm pretty flat), but if you done something to make me mad, you'd likely get punched (you have to do something quite drastic).

I always did this when I was a kid, and I hated it. The other girls in class thought it was really funny so they tried to rile me up any chance they got.

Actually, tears seems to be my deafult response to ANY strong emotion, much to my distress. Whenever I feel something too much, cue the waterworks.

I also used to (and still do) throw things when I'm angry.
The most notable example was when I threw a recliner after my big sister when I was 4...

The latest example was last night when I got mad while I was elbow deep in the fridge and threw a bottle of garlic pizza dressing on the floor.

I didn't think I'd thrown it very hard, until the damn thing exploded all over the kitchen and living room, making the whole place look like King Kong recently had a love fest in there.....

When I'm angry I can't express it so keep it in until its either cry or explode, this has always been one of the things where I stood out from normal. Over all I'm pretty controlled and desensitised by life, so the only way to make me mad is deliberately hurt other people or animals. Even then I don't like to lose control and never hurt people so cry is usually the only option, for a 6'2" 18 250lb bloke its a big drawback.

Most women laugh at you and it hurts a lot, for blokes its easier to handle lifting him by the throat and explaining the other option carefully seems to work well.

I mostly just rage when I am upset, but when I am unable to rage, and keep it all inside, that is usually when I cry. I also get angry a lot. Everything annoys me and I get frustrated easily and when a person tells me to calm down, I get a very strong urge to severely injure them, which is very hard to control, but somehow I manage to not hurt anyone.

I yell but if I try to hold back I cry.
If I try to hold back crying when I am angry, I end up shaking from head to toe. It sort of looks like seizure.
