I tend to get faster and faster as I get more excited. As a child I would get interrupted mid-flow and I would continue it under my breath.
I'm glad other people do this.

I mentioned a tee shirt someone posted on here to a friend of mine last night. It said" Aske me and I'll tell you more than you ever wanted to know about Asperger's Syndrome". He said I should definitely get it (and he's an aspie too!)

Wow, this would totally suit me, especially during the first few years when I first learned about Asperger. I was ocllecting great deal of info and was going on and on about the subject.

Later on, I eventually reached the conclusions that there is no blood test for Asperger and in most cases we are dealing with gray area anyways. So eventually I gave up on that pursuit.

However, my obsession with "myself" and explaining my problems still stands. Although right now I am more focused on analyzing myself rather than what I read about Asperger.

Yeah thats totally me! And oftentimes I dont even know I speak fast. Like I was practicing my physics talk and I was told I was talking fast (probably because on the back of my mind I knew I had to fit it inside time limits). But I was surprised because I was actually thinking I was stumbling a lot which would imply I was slow not fast. But when I listened to the tape recording of my talk I realized it was, in fact, fast.

Yup. It sure is. It's one of the main traits I have and one of the things that makes me believe I have Asperger's. Also included would be tangential speech (you go off on multiple different directions), data dumping, and excessively self-referential speech.

This is me. I'm a horrible person to talk to. I go off on "strange" tangents" I dump EVERYTHING in my head whether the listener is interested or not and the ONLY way I relate to people is by talking about myself. Like if someones dog dies, my first instinct is to talk about the time my dog died because that's the only way I can empathize with them. I've learned not to do this so much, but sometimes I still do.
