I also have a deep affinity for water (no pun intended). "Big water" (oceans, great lakes), "running water" (rivers, streams, rain, run-off, fountains, faucets) and "little water" (small lakes and puddles).

I don't like "dead water" (stagnant) and I can't say that I have an affinity for "hungry water" (distilled) but I am fascinated by - and have utilized - its properties and voracious appetite.

I never considered it an "autistic thang", but perhaps...

Remember, parents: Teach your water-loving autistic kid to swim, ASAP! He'll love swimming, and when he inevitably finds himself some water to jump into, you'll find him paddling around happily with no more than soaked clothes to worry about.
