Well well, look at all these adamantly sought-after autistics here! Wish I had your problem, guys. With my social life, if anything, I'd have to make up excuses for accepting the invitation, if I was extended one.

They only ask me along to make up the numbers. :( If Im daft enough to turn up, I'm usually the centre of inattention for the whole event. But that's mostly the mainstream NT socialite brigade. Other types are often a little more sincere.

If a person Invites me to a social gathering, but I don't want to, I'll tell them that it was kind of them to consider me in their plans, but I don't want to go.

Thanks. I just googled the term and it doesn't seem to have been used before in such a context. 8)

generally speaking i like to go out, i can't stand being in the house all the time. i go for an hour and a half walk a day at 2PM if i have nothing else planned for the day.

Sometimes (e.g. theres a party coming up that i dont wanna go to) i just say "sorry, but im not going" and normally i just get an "ok" back.

TD, sorry but I found a few...

Eg: "If you become one of those inveterate punsters, you soon find yourself the center of inattention,`` he warned."

Bah! Bang goes my hope of turning my wordplay skills into a cash cow. I should have googled the American spelling of "center" as well as the English one. :x
